Math learning is not my forte, but it does come up in educational equity
all the time (that's how I earn my living). One of the foundation issues
in math disparity seems to be how math is taught--typically to individuals
competeing for best scores. This method does not work for groups who do
better in team learning and cooperative methods--a style that tends to
work better for girls as well a certain ethnicities. The Equals Project
