Warm Ups for the Amida-kuji Problem

1.  What prizes will the other players get with this "lottery network?"

2.  If you want to use amida-kuji to decide the order of players in a game, you would put the numbers 1 through 6 (or however many players you have) at the bottom of the lines.  Suppose you would like the players to go in the order 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 , how could you place horizontal lines to produce this order?

3.  How could you arrange to put the players in the order 6, 2, 3, 4, 5 ,1 ?

4.  How many times is each horizontal line used in any amida-kuji?  Can you explain your answer?
