Hello everyone:

This month's EdEquity Dialogue with the Experts will be on "Gender is a
Male Issue". The discussion will take place from Monday, December, 11 to
Friday, December 15. The panelist include:

*Craig Flood, Facilitator, Consultant on Educational Equity Issues,
Former Director of the New York State Career Options Institute, New York

*Michael Kimmel, Professor of Sociology, State University of New York at
Stony Brook

*David Sadker, Professor, School of Education, American University

*Catherine (Cate) P. Dooley, Co-director, Mothers-Son Project, Jean Baker
Miller Training Institute, Stone Center

Format

To focus attention on this discussion, only messages related to the "Gender
is a Male Issue" will be posted to EDEQUITY from December 11 to December
15. Posting of all other messages will resume on Monday, December 18.

The Dialogue will begin with an opening statement form each of the
panelists posted to the list at 5:30 on Friday, December 8. You are
encouraged to react, comment , and ask questions. Please note that for this
dialogue, you can send in questions before hand to the EDEQUITY
administrator at edequity-admin@mail.edc.org and we will forward it to the
panelists for their response during the dialogue. Responses will be posted
throughout the week. At 4 p.m. on Friday, December 15, the panelists will
post their closing statements. The Dialogue will officially end at 5 p.m.
