it has been a truism in educztional equity training for years that we cannot
change people's beliefs /attitudes, but have the responsibility to change
their behaviour , especially if the behaviour runs counter toi educational
equity processes, i.e. getting girls into advanced science. like ray, i
really don't care what they really think so long as they behave in an
appropriate manner that promotes the skills and interests of students, not to
reinforce stereotyped expectation based on colour or gender.
